Running dates for July are as followed:

1st to 3rd: Fri to Sun.
9th to 15th: Sat to Fri.

7822 will also run over the weekend of 30th/31st July for the Railway's 1960s Gala, and will appear in a weathered condition.

    Thanks
    Jeff

No problems Steve. We hope you enjoy your experience on the day, and that you enjoy the sights & sounds of a GWR Manor in the Dee Valley.

We went to Llangollen as planned on Thursday, had a fantastic ride behind Foxcote Manor, the drivers and Foxcote put on a very spirited performance. Thanks to everyone who was part of it. The sun shone too :)

Then rushed off to Berwyn to take "that" photo:

    Hi everyone,

Sorry this is a bit late, but here are the running dates for 7822 during August.

4th & 5th August. (7822 has been running since Monday but I was involved in cleaning in the loco with 4 other people getting the loco back into it's orginial & clean condition).

20th & 21st August. 7822 may also haul the Real Ale train on the night of the 20th??

    22nd to 26th August.

    Jeff

    Nice Picture,Steve.
Reminds one of the 1920s/1930s for it's scenic view, comes to us Londoners that parts of Britain are still as lovely as it ever was.Thank God it is...it keeps us sane.

    (from a Swindon GWR family).

7822 will also run on all 3 days of the August bank holiday.

Saturday & Sunday of that weekend is the Bus Rally event, in which the field at Glyndyfrdwy will see a selection of vintage buses combined with a special timetable.

7822 only has 3 running days in September. The Autumn Steam Gala from the 9th to 11th where she will star alongside the rest of the home fleet along with the 2 visiting engines, 78019 from the GCR and Black 5 45337 from the East Lancs.

For all other steam running days at Llangollen, please follow this link.

It only actually has 2 running days in September. It is not in use on the Sunday of the gala.

It's symptomatic of the Llangollen having too many engines for too few trains.

Presumably it's on course to meet its contracted mileage for the year?

    ATM they have serviceable;
    3802 / 7822 / 44806 / 80072 / 6430 / 44806 plus 47298 (Thomas)

    Away on hire:
    5643 / Jennifer / Darfield / Jessie

5199 is due back the end of the year, and 68030 appears to be using LR as its engineering base too. Most they ever use is 3 locos when there is a driver Exp out during the C timetable, and this is only at weekends. Midweek it's 1 train in service.

It sounds ideal but you need value for money for overhauling expensive steam engines.

I assumed that it was running all 3 days! Thanks for confirming this.

Is 5643 a Llangollen engine now then? I know it has been running there on hire, but isn't it more of a case of it moving on?
