    As soon as the word "Paint" is mentioned on here people start. Once the chassis is wheeled and over the pit, perhaps the paint inspectors could be invited to check the paint job, at a price!!!

    Bet you`re popular at home Gav! I used to tolerate assorted loco whistles (2 GWR and 1 LMS I seem to remember) having pride of place in my dining room. I stopped polishing them, life`s too short, so they ended up in the loft. I believe one of them is correct for 82045.

    Those that have been following the Std 3 wheel debate on the Hengist thread might be pleased to know the wheels with 17 spokes will eventually be painted with black unmentionable.
