No new timetable yet, but the following comment has been added:

A change from our previously published timetable, by popular demand, the freight train has been removed from the event and a 3 train
passenger service will be in operation. This will allow more opportunity to ride behind 73096. 73096 will haul the demonstration freight train
on 18th September for those wishing to take photographs.

Excellent news! :) There does seem to be a tradition of the MHR getting a lot of flack on here, but it's great to see a railway listening to enthusiasts!

Although I won't be at the Mid-Hants on either weekend I would like to say a big well done to those at the Mid-Hants who have taken on board the feedback to their original plans and adjusted them. I hope both events are well attended to give 73096 the send off she deserves. Well done MHR!

I see that "Lord Nelson" is no longer booked to run at this event - is it not well again?

I did wonder about the disappearance of 850. She is not on the normal loco roster either.

Looks much better, thanks due to the railway for listening to constructive criticism and hopefully increasing visitor numbers!

View attachment 3149 View attachment 3150 View attachment 3151 View attachment 3152 With the end of 73096 on the MHR rapidly approaching I ventured up the line for a few shots this morning .Sunday 29th August 2011 .
If the angle of the train looks wrong in comparison to some of the latest signals planted on the line Im sorry to say its not me but the S&T who do not seem to have a spirit level !! .Worst Culprit is the new Outer Home for Ropley on the down it leans trackwards . If needed I will donate one but its too late now.

Excuse my ignorance but is it me or has the loco diagrams disapeared from the MHR website?

Yes, the timetable for the 73096 event has lost the loco diagrams. I would guess though that 73096 will be on the first train from Alresford with 34007 on the first from Alton.

850 is now not running due to a 4 week boiler exam... It makes the event better without the freight train as it gives 73096 a proper send off! I shall be at this event on sunday as on Saturday i shall be at Swanage riding behind a particuler A4!

Hopefully the loco diagrams will be reinstated on the MHR web site soon.

I hope they are putting plenty of carriages behind 73096 as I think a lot of people will be travelling behind her!

Yeah, that's the reason we want a nice long train, obviously! ;-)
