Pedant mode on I believe that should be 98832,
Pedant mode off I really couldn’t give a toss what colour it is, I had a message off my Dad last night asking about the Ayr Raider tour we had 60532 on (27 years ago today as I was reminded )
    And I also got this…

Even in undercoat I think it looks great

"A coat of paint hides a multitude of tins" - old scratchbuilders saying, I believe.
I think it looks great, but then when it comes to handsome Pacifics I reckon Jarvis and Peppercorn have the rest beat hands down.

It's great to see it back in steam.
    But...
Am I the only person who thinks 'someone' should go shopping in North America, bring 60008 back, rebuild to original appearance as 4496 'Golden Shuttle' and of course paint it in gold?

Renumbering 60103 as 60043 Brown Jack and repainting it would be easier and cause the sh** to fly!

I quite liked the floral wallpaper pattern on 45212 in the late 60s advert for Solvite. Very colourful and not at all boring like that drab black that it used to run around in when it did a proper job. They should wallpaper engines more often.

A bugger to get off without damaging the paint as well, if you use the wrong stuff :(

I suspect that most, like me, would love 80151 as a Secret Santa pressie...

I'd rather have Birch Grove, personally...

Everyone has their own preference of course, although 80151 is now Bluebell based, I have memories of her at Chappel back in the 70's and my late Dad contributed to the fund which initially was started to save her from Barry.
(Apologies to all for thread drift).

You know what, the only people who care, sorry object, to the colour of BP are on here. And there isn't enough of you to make it's mainline career worthwhile. So blather away, the heritage rail companies can quite happily ignore you, and the target market can admire how dramatic it looks, and drama is what fills seats
