Certainly looks and sounds "the business".

I've tried looking it up but without much success and truth be told, I'm not sure where I thought I saw it was South African.

Been great watching the videos of the loco back in action and I'm going to be keeping an eye out for any upcoming tours later this year.

Indeed...the tweedle pip whistle, they seem to have sorted...it seemed to have constipation at first, the chime whistle, does remind me of SA locos but that's going back to the seventies which is stressing my brain cells..
However what a wonderful sight this magnificent loco back up and running....well done everybody involved with this.

Do rather like it running without the polished smokebox door straps.

I stopped in at Bewdley today for an hour and caught sight of Blue Peter for the first time since I saw it languishing in a siding on a family holiday at the NYMR in the 90's (I think). Got to say I love the blue, whether it's accurate or not!

I am just curious though, can anyone explain the token Bunny Rabbit and Moe Szyslak on the front lights though? :)

Funnily enough that struck me too, I'm not sure but it's sort of growing on me.

I can also see it's another good way of differentiating it's look from the A1.

It's so heart warming to read the Breaking News that LSL have reversed on their decision to paint 60532 in Blue due to the febrile and intense pressure from posters on Nat Pres. The new green livery and renaming ceremony to "Green Gazza" will be at Kidderminster later this afternoon..... apparently?

I've also been wondering this. Given it was previously announced as being there, I'd hope there would be another formal announcement if that changed. As such I'll expect it to be there unless that happens, though I must stress I have absolutely no inside information!

It’s in the traffic notice to be shunted to the Dock, so I can’t see any reason for it not to happen
