If you mean the old Weston station then virtually no chance! I can see Jo McCarron (local activist) having 40 fits if someone proposes a load of dirty steam engines running through her back yard having successfully seen off the prospect of the line being used as a bus rapid transit route!

Kelston will obviously be on the route and whilst the station was in reality nearer Saltford than Kelston it would still make a nice place for a stop especially with the pub (Bird in Hand I think) just below the line at that point. As far as getting to Bath goes we are really only likely to be talking a small station near to the Newbridge Park and Ride site because once you start going beyond the end of the current "cycle track" it gets into houses and other structures on the line. Apart from local opposition Hartwells have their bodyshop smack in line with the original track line so going on would be expensive for little gain. It won't get back into Green Park - not least because if Sainsbugs have their way, Green Park Station will be all but swallowed up in redevelopment over the current car park. It will still exist but views of it will be nothing like now.

I'm not sure to what extent things have progressed directly, but its likely resources are being built up and plans discussed with BANES council - I think I read somewhere that when they go for it they want to try and do it in one go rather than say to Kelston and stop again. Whether that's the current plan I don't know as my membership lapsed some years ago.
