It's mentioned under topics 'Travelling to Bitton' and 'First Great Western Joint Travel'. <BJ>

I have asked the railway staff at Bitton for details about the bus service to and from Keynsham on Sunday. In general the bus will connect
with stopping trains at Keynsham station. The bus that will be used is David Cole's single decker Bristol Omnibus 536 JHU. Hope this helps. <BJ>

Excellent day, cool but sunny weather. 1744 looked fantastic. Much better timetable than last year. 429 thrashed nicely (well for a 275hp loco), and the triple header to finish was spectacular! Managed 7 trips to Oldland, and 8 to Riverside! Good to meet Phil_Guard and his brother Andrew, who live literally up the road from me!

Managed to avoid the DMU all day :biggrin1:

The Gala appeared to go OK, well done and thank you to all the staff and volunteers.

Saw a figure on the riverbank in the gathering gloom, as the triple header went over the bridge, presumably that was you, then? Glad you found your way back without falling in!

Excellent. I always find the AVR a very difficult line to photograph. You've done well. <BJ>

I was the only one there for the triple header, I don't think anyone else fancied the walk back to Bitton in the dark!! There was just enough light left to make the silhouette shot possible.

    Thanks free2grice.
