Thanks for the reply, I was hoping for a preserved railway so I can have a ride behind her, I'll just have to be patient...

I'm trying to remember if Mayflower is going to be operated by its own excursion company? Anyone recall from that article at the beginning of the year in.

Mayflower is to be operated by Devon & Cornwall Railways. At present they are able to do light engine movements but as yet don't hold a passenger licence. They did deliver Tornado to the Nene Valley recently.

Where is Mayflower right now? Is she at the Great Central Railway or Washwood Heath. I would think the later but would like some confirmation.

Nevermind, That was a picture that I spotted from 1987 on the facebook page.

Mayflower was moved from Washwood Heath on July 12th to Dereham on the Mid Norfolk Railway and as far as I am aware is still there.

It moved straight back to Washwood heath and has been stood there since.. Shouldn't be too far off of a test run now..

I'm coming round to the view that my slide was taken at Tyseley, not at Kidderminster.

    Re: B1 (6)1306

Has there been any developments regarding the B1 hitting the mainline in 2013?
If people have noticed her sister 61264 has been rostered as being possible power For RTC Easterling in June.

One wonders if the 1306 group have plans this year.

Plus isn't 61264 only going to be registered for the Esk Valley Line?

I did hear they wanted to take her on the mainline but not straight away. Not sure if thats the case but fairly sure she was going mostly for the NYMR and Esk Valley.

Won't 61306 should it venture out on the mainline, have to be crewed by DBS drivers. Not heard about the same possibly applying to 61264 though.

Unless 61306 has air brakes fitted and not just piped, DBS can crew her. WCRC are the only TOC with a safety case for Vac brake working IIRC.

Unless things have changed, it didn't have OTMR, either.

As mentioned in post 126, above, the intention was to use Devon & Cornwall railways. Things might have changed since the SPAD, though.

IIRC D&CR only have a safety case for light engine and ECS moves.
