A bit quick to jump on someone who is obviously not British and did apologise for possibly spelling it wrongly.

Here's a website. The railway is but part of a grander scheme for the lake and area. CLICK HERE

Total apology for over reacting this morning. I'm very touchy on the subject of the Welsh language.

English is not my mother tongue either and I'm so ashamed of gratuitously insulting your command of the language, sorry.

That is a very gracious response. I've deleted my original post.

    Merci. Diolch. Thanks.

^^^^^^ My thoughts exactly! Perhaps a few of our Little Englanders could take note of this outbreak of entente cordiale :)

  13. That's because it's a subject that only mature adults can appreciate.

If the subject had been "What colour should xxxxxx be painted?" then of course the kindergarten would have piled in...

According to the latest FR mag, the businessman's hopes of restoring the Trawsfynydd branch are still very much in tact. We'll see I suppose...

    The latest madcap scheme...

    http://www.dailypost.co.uk/news/nor...d-be-reopened-for-pedal-power-55578-28766095/

Also... Mr Cunnington added: “Colin’s plans initially are to run from the lake to Llan Ffestiniog and that would link in with our plans.

“He tells us the cafe is due to open this week but he accepts the railway project is not in a viable form yet.”

No kidding! He's presumably realised then that he cant run into Blaenau, and a line from nowhere to nowhere is hardly a great business proposition.

I've always wanted a go on a 'Velorail' - popular on the continent but unheard of here. I wonder if the HSE would allow it?

Reminds me of hiring a rowing boat at Stratford one. We upgraded (lazy students) and got one with a little outboard on the back. I wonder if for a bit more you could hire a Wickham :D

And presumably he will then carry on to Bala with a submarine shuttle through the reservoir.
