73136 is shown on the latest Bluebell loco roster as working "Civil Englineering Department" trains for three weeks Mon-Fri beginning 26th Jan. Just hope no-one turns up expecting to see a Caprotti Standard 5 back from the dead and working spoil trains!

I popped by earlier to see the diesel fleet in the yard. The 73 and 08 lined up near each other.

There will be a diesel passenger service running on 1 March 2009 - A Bluebell first!

Shall we have a vote as to the guard? Tom92240 vs. Minky !!!!

Is that a public service or a charter (assuming you're not pulling our collective legs). Not sure as to who should be guard, but Tom might be able to fend off the pitchfork toting, flaming torch holding mob with a tripod he's pinched from his university again.

It will be a public train. There will be a premium fare charged and members will get a slight discount.

That's all the information that I have at the moment. I will have more times, when they come out on the "Grab Sheet", as that's when I'll have to allocate a guard!

    It certainly was Chrissy:

C&W volunteers Dr Graham Poulson and Michael (Ernie) Hembest were photographed relaying some electrical equipment for the third rail . It has been found discarded in a ditch when the idea was first mooted to clear the Ardingly siding to take spoil from the extension.

Another bright idea thought up by volunteers which the PLC got uppity about because they didn,t think of it first, ho hum.

    Chris Willis

I still think a quick repaint is needed. Maybe a few members wouldn't even notice it was there. A Stroudley livery perhaps?
