I am sure it will be a very busy and successful weekend, even without your support.

I saw one of the Deities on the viaduct this morning, presume the other was also there but trees blocked my view.

No need to apologise, Paul. It gave some of us a laugh - the most amusing autocorrect I have come across since Steam Railway included a piece mentioning that heritage line in Dorset - the Sewage Railway!

It's been advertised as the diesel gala since early January, are you trying to claim this is late notice or something?

Remind me to quote this post the next time a gala organiser points out how fickle diesel enthusiasts are...

For any diesel fans who have a little hankering for steam, Atlantic House will be open on all three days to allow progress on this loco to be seen.

Also, both Deltics have been declared out of gauge for Platform 4/5 at Horsted, so trains will be using Platform 2 (up) and 3 (down). Opportunity for some moderately rare track, for track bashers, as using platform 2 and the loop to leave Horsted is moderately rare on service trains, though not completely unknown.

Looking at those coaching sets, what are they doing tomorrow as they look as though they've split the Rambler set?

It would seem that these 64 (or is it 62) passengers have bred like rabbits on the way down to the Bluebell today. A mate of mine has just sent a text to say it is wedged.
