Same here - I've been a member for several years but haven't been down there for a while, and it's been even longer since I've got the train to East Grinstead. Those 377s are a bit confusing. How do you open the droplight to get to the external door handle?!;)

I went on Sunday, didn't get there til after lunch so only managed 1 1/2 round trips, including two trips on the extension. Very impressive! I'll have to start going back there more often.

    Some great photos Spamcan81.

Just wonder if this event will be repeated next year?

A bit late but I just wanted to add my thanks to the Bluebell, Deltic Preservation Society and all involved with making this event happen. I attended on Saturday and had a thoroughly enjoyable day. All the staff were friendly and even the drivers were getting into the spirit of things, slowing right down before Sharpthorne Tunnel on East Grinstead bound trains so they could open them up all the way through. Highlight for me was the 5:15 from Sheffield Park back to East Grinstead with 55019 as I think it was running on two engines? Certainly they fired both up at Sheffield Park. Hopefully the railway was pleased with the takings and may open the door to similar events in the future.

Some photographs of mine can be viewed by clicking the link below, starting off with D9009 heading to East Grinstead.
