An excellent gala report which pretty much hit the nail on the head. A goods train would have been a nice addition and the overall line-up of small engines made it feel more Branch Line than Giants w/e. However as per usual the organisers still pulled off a very good event. I believe the Giants of Steam event will now be pulled from next year and a different theme will be added to our October event due to the lack of home based large engines. Great shame to see Giants go but common sense has prevailed and I look forward to next year's event.

I'm not so sure that the title matters at all, and anyway there are more ways of thinking that an engine is a 'Giant' then just its physical size.

    Regards
