I had a wonderful day on Saturday despite arriving late due to a puncture. I have visited many times before, often with my Father who is now too ill to travel; he first brought me and the family in 1960. I was able to take some of my pictures of the event to him in hospital, which brought a smile to his face. He now has pictures of Cheltenham and the S15 pinned up by his hospital bed.

Thanks very much to all those who put in so much effort to make the gala so special.

Someone looked very confused at work when I insisted that Cheltenham was in Sussex :)

Great day Sunday both lineside and on the trains, only slight negative was our party of 4 all decided to buy a 1st class ticket in the expectation of a better chance of getting a seat which did not really turn out that way! Also did not realise you were only allowed on the Pullmans if you intended on eating, as was pointed out to us the one time we boarded, no problem with that but the ticket office did not mention that when he said our tickets included the Pullmans! Minor issues though, a great gala.

It's all about getting to 25 MPH as quickly as possible to make up time and play to the gallery, after all it's what you, the paying public want to see and hear.
