That would very much depend on the size of the win Gav... Finishing the 6, the 3, overhauling the 8, Restoring/retrograding a Black 5 and 'retrograding' a merchant navy might have to come first... Might even chuck the Patriot and the P2 few Bob - credit where its due...

It would be nice to see the 8P running again.
    Standard line up at the GCR anyone? How good would it be to see classes 2, 2T, 3, 3T, 4 (2-6-0), 4 (4-6-0), 4T, 5, 5 caprotti, 6, 7, 8P, 9
I think with existing locos, 72010, 82045, 84030, 77021 we have everything covered?

In reply to Melisshr - A caprotti black 5 of course, like the last ivatt built pair, with double chimneys... mmm, nice. but my learned friends in the advanced steam community would consider this a retrograde step.

Never say never but a crosti 9F ? never gonna happen unless someone has an original crosti boiler stashed somewhere...

… and even if they did, surely the best outcome all round would be to just pretend they didn't and hope they could keep its existence a secret before anyone got any stupid ideas!

Slight mistake - If an un-Crostied loco is built it would only be an 8F.

Crosti boilered, caprotti valve geared, mikado wheel arrangement, double chimneyed Class 6 anyone? Could always stick two boilers back to back and make it a Fairlie / Garratt!
Anyone fancy sketching that up :)
Yep, its funny Friday and all VERY firmly tongue in cheek!
