Please Google "Albert Heijn" & "Online levering" for food. "Kleding online" gives 505.000 hits of which Zalando, to name the most agressive, is also present in other countries.
    Kind regards

Cab signalling, for which ERTMS has become the system of choice for much of the world, will be implemented regardless of HS2 or our membership of the EU because of the potential cost, safety and capacity benefits

Given that we can't even electrify one of the countries major routes on time, or cascade it to the rest of the network, and we STILL haven't gotten rid of semaphore signals, I doubt the arrival ERTMS any time soon, specially if there is no regulatory order to do so.

I didn't see much sign of food delivery vans in Spain. It is nowhere as widespread or imbedded as it is in the UK.

There are questions about where and how quickly the roll-out takes place given Network Rail's funding issues, but leaving the EU makes no practical difference to the cost, safety and capacity benefits of the 'Digital Railway' as it's being dubbed by NR.

Has this and associated posts got anything to do with Brexit's effect on heritage railways?

It started off with someone musing on the effect of Brexit on property prices. Since Brexit relates to immigration and that relates to property values despite the extravagant claims of some here that it doesnt . . . somehow.

No it doesn't and so the related posts have been moved to:

Please try and keep to the heritage railway angle and not go off into more general Brexit matters affecting wider businesses and enterprises.
