I don't think it went to Winchcombe today, but it got as far as Gotherington yesterday so I heard. Was chuffing up and down between Laverton and Toddington today inbetween service trains, crowds of people watching it. Pics to follow later, I'm tired as I've been on duty all day!

Those photos have made me ridiculously happy after a tough day at work. Thank you so much for posting! If I was near enough, I'd be very tempted to toddle over to the line tomorrow!

I think she may be out tomorrow, but don't hold me to it. if she is I'd imagine she'll be doing similar today i.e. just between Laverton and Toddington. No loaded test runs yet :( as the tender needs a certificate or something as it's a newbuild. @Andy B may know more.

Glad it cheered you up @cymroglan I had a big grin on my face! :D

Indeed, I'm feeling rather narked off I'm away for our gala this year! Ah well, plenty of time to enjoy her soon to come.

Gosh...it moves!! Is this loco the one which has been "about to run" for the longest time? Nice to see it moving at long last. Well done to the team.

I'm sure the team will be delighted to finally shake off the "it'll be finished in a year" tag they've carried for the last decade or so! :)

Seems to be a good week for Bulleids, with 34046 slowly returning back from the cold...

Was reading the BESPS website this morning and there was a small update on 35010 Blue Star. Looks like things are ticking over with the locomotive which can only be good news.

"On the ‘Blue Star’ front, we have recently collected a ‘Stones’ Turbo Generator from Cornwall, for use on the Loco. Surprisingly enough this was discovered for sale on e-bay, and on inspection has found to be complete and in very good condition."

    From that website

"We can’t reveal all here and now, but our Travel page is a great place to start

Failing that, here’s a brief summary:
    • 22nd May - London to the Peak District with Lord Dowding"
except that the first trip showing on their travel page is on 28th May, and the Rowsley trip on 22nd is still showing on uksteam as 61306.

The RTC website and brochure both state 70000, so looks makes sense that another LSL in its place.

The 9th July End of Southern Steam is not listed, although 2 other RTC are listed plus an SD.

Yes it's bit worrying about 9th July as we booked on that hoping for 34046.

I'm going to sound picky as they havn't finished with 34046/34052 yet but back to Riley's for the valve timing - it sounds a bit out on the videos I've seen
