Fine shots Steve but strange how the light looks so different from the two angles.

Thanks Ralph ,yes it is a puzzle why the difference is so big as when I set up the going away shot it was fairly dark still but the light changed more that side than the main camera did for some odd reason . Regards Steve

Nice shot Phil. I did post mine from Ladybridge here but it fell foul of the moderation system for some reason.

Good location and camera work, Steve, and very quick with the news! Is your main camera set on "daylight" white balance? That would account for the blue cast. In those conditions, it would be better to use auto white balance, or set it manually (if you have that option), perhaps with a reading from the sky.

You can probably get a reasonable match using your video editing program, especially since you have a good clip to match with from the second camera. See if your editor has a "white balance", "grey balance" or "colour correction" function. I use Avid (formerly Pinnacle) Liquid 7.2, which has a grey balance function that allows one clip to be compared and matched with a reference clip. Premier, Edius and Vegas have similar functions, and I think the latest versions of Studio probably do, too. I think I'd start by comparing the exhaust. I'd probably tone down the correction suggested by the program, since too much correction can look worse than none at all - too artificial. HTH

Yes, I'd post a link to the video, but it seems anything I post with a link gets blocked.

Wow, thats a fantastic clip with all the smoke, the breaking Autumn light, the lights on the rails and the birdsong not to mention the working of the 'fives'.
Wonderful capture of art in real life.
