The only other flying Avro Lancaster is visiting the UK in August for a month, and will be flying with the BBMF Lancaster visiting air shows

It flys out of Canada on the 4/8/2014 landing at RAF Coningsby on the 8/8/2014, where maintenance checks will be done, prior to it starting flights from 14/8/2014.

Thanks for posting the link. I will be attending the Dunsfold event. Looks like it will be a very special and memorable event with the BBMF Spit and Hurricane also in attendance along with the other Avro Bomber , the Vulcan.

Boy oh boy am I looking forward to that......I will be with a chum....his father (deceased) flew with 617 Squadron, The Dambusters, as a flight engineer and survived......I don't know whether it will bring a lump to his throat but certainly will mine. He still has all his father's flight records.....it's very moving to hold these things in your hands and read the details.......history.............

Fantastic, 3 lancs at East Kirkby might be too tempting not to go, but with Duxford now likely to happen there's a good chance I'll get to see them without even having to leave the house :)

What is the Plan for Just Jane now? do the owners still intend to put her in the air because the web site now has no mension of the scheme any more i understand they have had it examined and its not going to be too much work for her to fly ,the 4 new engines quoted, are they the 3 already on, or another 4 thats been overhauled to airworthy status

What the chance of a lifetime to see 3 lancs in the same place your joking right? its a pity the runway isnt long enough to land a lancaster and allow it to take off again, i dont expect that the canadian lanc will ever make another trip across the pond so its the only chance to see the only taxiworthy and flying lancasters, you will get.
NOW if only the canadians can be pursquaded to make a return trip when Just Jane flies a 3 ship lanc formation along with "there little friends" would be a fitting tribute to bember command
