Rather a good video of todays events with the three Avro Sisters (even filmed from the top of Lincoln Cathedral!) here:

The three Avro sisters flying over RAF Marham this afternoon. Fantastic sight and sound. The Lancasters then did a short display together, then another with a Spitfire and Hurricane. Absolutely brilliant afternoon!

    Spamcan,
I can't find any details of any Barnoldswick flypast. It's very local to me, could you give me any more info on that please, it would be very much appreciated.
    Cheers
    John

IMG_0753.JPG IMG_0786.JPG IMG_0794.JPG IMG_0806.JPG Mine from Clacton yesterday. Camera not quite good enough to capture them in close detail, but I'm happy with the results. I attended Eastbourne last Sunday, got a bit of a disappointment, but found out they were heading for Clacton just before I headed away from a month's saty researching in London. I just had to witness this once in a lifetime (unless 'Jane' flies again) event. Intending to get to Teesside Airport when I'm back up in York, as that has to be the spiritual home of the Mynarski Memorial Lancaster. Anyway...

I was able to view the Lancasters (and Vulcan) from work yesterday then got to see them again today after I finished.

An edited shot of the two beauties:

Really fantastic bit of luck today; we had hoped that we might get a glimpse of them, but what with the railway being open every day and being busy preparing for our gala, we were going to be incredibly lucky to see them at all. Then suddenly, there they were, about 3 miles north and heading straight for us! They passed right over Mangapps, quite low as they were approaching Southend Airport-an absolutely incredible sight and sound.
They passed right over our Canadian Pacific Railway caboose. Did "Vera's" crew see it, I wonder? If they did, what did they say? My guess would be "Holy s--t, whats a CP caboose doing there, or have we taken a wrong turning?"

Awesome display at Dunsfold today. Started with BBMF formation: 2 Lancs & Spit & Hurricane and then Spit & Hurricane followed by the 2 Lancs. Haven't looked at my photos yet but I took many of them with tears in my eyes. I hope I have some decent shots. Wonderful sight and sound which was then followed by a formation of Spitfire (MH434), P51 Mustang, Dakota & B25 Mitchell.

They were very good at Dawlish. Most impressive were the Red Arrows though. Quite unnerving photographing one out to sea, only for another to fly very low over the hill you're standing on!
