    No I do not currently volunteer
    I assumed that was due to the tour running late, was a good 20-30 late away from Redhill so would have lost her path at that time of night on the Brighton Line.

    John, I'm sure it can be arranged just for you so that it IS boring. A brightly painted white headlight rather than a disc, a non-authentic North Eastern style headboard and plenty of hi-viz vests. Perhaps some wasp stripes or a small yellow warning panel as well? Would that make you happy? I don't see you complaining about Britannia's white headlamp or Tornado's boring 'A1 steam trust' headboard and fixed 'express passenger' headcode, etc etc...

    Me personally, I like to see different headboards, headcodes and even the SR reporting number board, which no other locos seem to use, (Except for Ian Riley with the Midland version) despite them having been commonplace everywhere. Perhaps you would like to donate a headboard that YOU approve of to 34067?

    Ah, but are they as efficient-looking, which was the crux of my statement? Never did like too many showy bits on a locomotive...
