You sand the running rail away from the juice rail. Having said that, doing anything on the track in 3rd rail land with the juice on needs extra care.

Quite obvious really, he makes some valid points but ruins it by using childish phrases.
Oh, sorry forgot, round these parts you can only like steam properly if you call diesels 'boxes'...
    Bit sad really isn't it?

Sounds like 'Pot kettle black'. (pun intended) It's OK for diesel followers to use the term 'kettle'. For Gods sake grow up, there are members of both sides equally as childish.

Apologies to 50031. Whilst I'm a steam fan, I have nothing against diesels, and in fact I used to spot and phot the Westerns and Warships just as enthusiastically as steam when I was a schoolboy.

It never struck me in fact that "box" and "kettle" were derogatory or childish, I'd thought of them more as a kind of jokey shorthand. I will clearly have to become more aware of people's sensitivities! No offence meant, and I hope you enjoyed the footage of 37706 that I included in last week's video of 5043.

No need to apologise old bean, nothing wrong with a bit of banter, just some on here bandy the box word around as some sort of badge of honour. Quite limp really!
