Explanation of Saturday's failure now up on the A1 Trust website 20th April - an explanation.....

Basically she was running with only one pump (as the second was under repair) and that failed.

You can't beat a good old reliable vacuum ejector.

Unless you happen to be hauling air-braked stock ..... as is commonplace these days.

Help me out here. Is not reasonable to expect updates from the people that are in the know i.e. Braunton's custodians and owners?

How, otherwise, can anyone rush to book a tour which yet again is booked for Braunton with any confidence at all that it will actually run.

If it is going to be another 6 months, then tell us and provide reasons why.

When the loco is fit and healthy they will expect punters to spend their hard earned money to book tours behind her. In return we should surely expect to know what is going on now?

That's why I never book a tour unless I don't care what's on the front but want the route, or that's there's a pretty good chance what's booked will show (which is why I leave it to last minute and takes my chances in it being full... As there's less chance it being full and more chance of "something"happening to spoil the day").
