A Spam Can at Stirling passing by my old box - perhaps I moved south too soon.

I shall be out for this as soon as 45305 is in the South East chasing it to London via HS1, i'll be posting updates on here through my phone, if it lets me.

Original plan was to pause at Salisbury on the way back but apparently there was not enough time to do that and get to London for a sensibly timed finale around Kent. Hence the shorter route home that I presume NR was unprepared for and now needs a path.

Reports on the gen groups that 46115's move to York is canceled due to a steam ban on the S&C?

Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Glad to know that the first leg of the journey is going according to plan. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the rest, since I've taken 6 days holiday to follow Messers Bunker & Co's grand expedition. The Steam Age Skoda will be heading for Stoke Bank this afternoon, and I hope to RV with the rest of the Steam Age gang in Gargrave this evening. Any worthwhile results will appear on DVD in the fullness of time...

    Bugger!

When am I going to get that up north ride behind Tangmere?

I had sussed out lodgings that would have permitted day bookings as far as Fort Bill - but not behind tin boxes thank you! - Oh well - enough bills from the last two weeks already!

As far as I am aware from talking to someone on board it all bears on whether ther is rain up that way although without official word its all speculation.
    Cheers,
    Mark

There was rain in Scotland last night, and again this morning, the ground looks "moist" but it's starting to dry out a little, let's just hope that it either rains again or the ground I'd were enough for the steamers to go ahead. Does anybody know if he Scottish movements are still going ahead?

6201 just departed Victoria , 45305 giving a proper good shove from behind.
When was the last time steam banked steam from Victoria?
