Times for Friday now on UKsteam.info. It will be quite a long day. 0920 from Carmarthen, 1735 at Victoria and finally back to Kensington Olympia at 0036 Saturday. The loco change takes place at Willesden: the Black Fives are replaced at one end by a diesel, while 70013 is attached at the other, ready to lead out of Victoria.

I wonder whether 70013 will work the the loop around Kent, or whether 45305 will deputise. It seems (to me) to depend on which loco is working the outward leg of the Swanage Belle.

61994 has gone to Thornton. 44871 is camping at Cadder, and will come to Carnforth Wed to meet 45407 from Grosmont.

A normally reliable source suggests that 34067 will work the final section of The Cathedrals Explorer around Kent on Friday evening and that 70013 will go down to Swanage on Friday, not Thursday, as shown ATM on UKsteam.info, turning at Eastleigh on the way (therefore tender-first Eastleigh - Swanage).

The other change to note is that one of the Black 5s is due to be detached at Willesden with the other hauling the train into Victoria. It will then bank the train out of Victoria just like 45305 did last week.

Had a super time in the highlands once again, thanks to everybody involved, especially the crew of 44871 for their commitment to get it up to FW.

Thanks to all at Steam Dreams,WCRC and NR and also to John Cameron and all with 61994 and thanks to John for the input at Banavie (see vid!)!

My dad really enjoyed his two days on board and we wish we could have been on it/chased it all the way (cant afford it sadly). Well done to all through some very testing times it seems to be continuing to get better as the trip goes on.

Sadly the weather southbound over the WHL was abysmal but in some ways this was a good thing.

    Thanks again.

I highly recommend being at Victoria Plat 9 to watch this departure. ;-) it's quite a short train (compared to VSOE), so it'll be a long way down plat 2, that's where I'll be anyway.
After 45305's banking last week the Victoria shed roof was full of dissipating smoke and smelt the real deal.

Where is 45407 coming off (on the outward with 6201, 45305 was attached and pushing to Kensington), is this one going to be unattached and backing off around Battersea Park or Factory Junction ?

Nice shot but is the whistle intermittently blowing on the first shot?
