After the special departed Crewe, the Duchess and her support coach backed into the vacated platform to take water.

    Headboard still attached........

Having not been passed the GBVII headboard off 60009, they are not going to give up the Cathedrals Explorer one!

    Regards,

Nice footage from both of you at the 2 places I would have gone before the misleading forecast for today appeared and before I told My Dad that I didn't need the car...

    Heading through Stafford...

I see that a 47 appeared on the back at some point north of Crewe. Was it at the Hellifield stop, and what was it for?

44871 and 45407 at Selside this evening after an eventful day trying and failing at times to chase the tour, needless to say, all 3 engines looked as good as ever.

It would not have been possible to remove the headboard from 6233 while she was under the 25kV overhead wires.

The 47 was attached at Hellifield to assist with shunting at Appleby where the train was stabling overnight and then to take the train north to Scotland today.

I must have been next to you at Hoghton and then arrived Newsholme just as it passed. How on earth did you manage to get there and fit Whalley in as well? I didn't spare the horses either. Good work by the way!

Thanks 26D, it was just behind us as we passed Whalley so i jumped out for a grab shot, made it with a few mins before at Newsholme, we had quite a clear run.
