What was the train T&T'd by the two sheds? 60163's train looked like WCRC stock, I thought SD only used DBS these days.

The answer lies in this rather nice youtube video Looks like Mr Lewis of Newport on the regulator and the coaches are those of the SRPS. So,
    no WCRC involvement..

Excellent trip, did not hang around! Seems that SD will be using the SRPS stock a fair bit this year. One big surprise was steam heating, didnt think DBS did that anymore.

Never been a restriction on steam heat, just a lot of stock that is air only is electric heat only too.

Brilliant trip. Good work by all the crews and sensible driving on the damp rail west of Exeter. Some lively running in the dark coming home and we are left to guess what speed we might have gone over Savernake had we not stopped for a water top up at Woodborough. And my guess is that this goes down in history as a rare instance of one loco running to Plymouth and back in one day from Paddington without any assistance in Devon. Thank you SD and DBS.

Here's a video of Tornado's arrival and lusty departure at Twyford. It was clear when she was in the platform that the new pope had not yet been chosen!
