I am not too sure about your view on tresspass at public crossings. Crossings are just that - for crossing the railway. If a train is approaching you are meant to remain beyond the railway boundary. I understand that BT police are now porsecuting
people who watch passing trains from inside railway fences even if they are on a public crossing. Such a location does not reduce the anxiety caused to passing train crew.

Thank you, sadly we didn't get a whistle when she was coming towards us, but did get a going away whistle. Hopefully she'll make a bit more noise coming back up later :)

A bit of a mystery here - I've just come back from seeing it at Over, and the last three coaches definitely did not include the aforementioned Mark 1, yet it doesn't seem to be near the front of the train in KristianGWR 's picture. Perhaps, as James suggests above, it has disappeared.

I've just watched a video and it is not in the rake, but a plain blue restaurant/buffet car is near the centre.

Wasn't a derailment, everything else including 35028 was running ok.

Good photos there; AND there are always plenty of people on the platforms and in the car park at Twyford. Must all be switched on to steam and that includes the kids !!! Really good video at Twyford King Druid as are the other pics on this thread. Pete

Absolutely storming run up Sapperton, fair to say it's the best performance I've ever gotten there and will be hard to beat. Here's a few screenshots from my video, that video is just rendering at the moment and will follow later.

Just uploading a short video to YouTube of Clan Line laying a few ghosts on Sapperton this evening. I'm going to leave it running overnight - HD uploads take so long! This clip is mostly about the sound, so I hope YT's compression hasn't mangled it too much.

The first part of my video is up, taken by the river Severn, and also at Lydney Junction.

Thanks Pete, glad you like my efforts :thumb:

I did wonder what they would turn out like as the cloud cover was constantly changing and playing havoc with light meter readings - so yes I have had to "tweak" them a bit, but as a whole I'm pretty pleased with the results - I'm just glad it wasn't Tornado on the train - that LED headlamp is WAY too bright (I wish they would turn it down or off, as it really is too bright and unnecessary IMO) and really does ruin things from a photting perspective!

35028 did make a nice change on the CE (and so did the Southern style headboard) not often she comes out that way, if it had been one of the "regulars" I might not have bothered, so I'm glad I did!!!
