    Might make my way to Yeovil Jc on Sunday.... apart from the industrials at Yeovil Steam Centre I havent seen a kettle at Yeovil for years...

    Due to arrive at 15.30 and depart at 16.42

    We encourage visitors to come by public transport if possible. The Centre is part of Yeovil Junction station (London Waterloo - Exeter line).

    A Heritage Bus link from Yeovil Town Centre from Yeovil (Sunday only). This starts at 10am from the bus stop outside Pizza Hut (Leisure Complex at bottom end of Yeovil Town Centre) and then runs at 30 and 00 minutes past hour until 16.30. Return buses from Yeovil Junction run at 15 and 45 minutes past hour with final departure at 16.45. This link is complimentary and although every effort will be made no liability will be entertained in the event of the link not running or ceasing to run for whatever reason.

    Work by the following artist will also be on display, Sue Bowditch (Local Artist specialising in Wildlife Art).

    Admission - Adult £7 (two day ticket £10), Child aged 5-15 £3.50 (two day ticket £7). One child admitted FREE with each paying adult. Younger children are admitted FREE. Please note that standard admission applies to members for this event.

    Car Parking - South West Trains have kindly allowed us to use a designated part of their car park (no need to purchase a car park ticket as this is included within the admission). Please follow the signs. Blue Badge holders will be accomodated on our site - please turn under the low bridge.

    Only just caught up with this and buseng, and I make no excuses for again taking you to task with your ill founded remarks.
    You owe Maureen some apologies, firstly for making the assumption that She was a He posing, for some unknown reason, as a member of the opposite sex... and secondly again making the wrong assumption that she worked for the railways in some capacity.
    Question is will you be man enough to admit you errors.

    Clearly the long term engineering work in the Reading area has also disturbed the well being and general good nature of some people living in the locality :)

    So in an attempt to bring the thread back on track can I ask that anyone visiting the Yeovil Steam Centre on Sunday gives Lord Fisher a friendly pat (see avatar). As a one time part owner, I have to say that it's great to see it in steam at its new home and clearly of immense use. This little Andrew Barclay is a powerful machine and it's hard to believe that there will be 100th birthday celebrations next year.

    Last I heard, it was going to be either a 31 or 56.............................. and now for a "Brucie Bonus" you can add what ever comes in with the rail tour, 33,37 or 47..........

    Indeed it is! :)

    I had the pleasure of a couple of footplate rides on her a few weeks ago................... she certainly wants to be let loose once she gets going!! ;)
