    70000 was about half an hour late arriving at Farnborough this evening. I've no idea why. It was very dull and rainy, but there was just about enough light for some not brilliant snaps. Hardly mastershots, but a record of the occasion. Anyway, they are now on Flickr together with a couple of sunny shots in Fleet this morning and if anyone is interested to see them here is the first one :

    Good collection there Ron. On your 'photostream' the final shot from Farnborough leads onto a rather sad looking Standard 5 at Basingstoke in 1964, quite a contrast. Gleaming stock though.

    Just a photographic comment to this tour. The trackside at Farnborough, at the 'country' end alongside the car park is now almost completely obscured by vegetation if you are planning a trip. Still good views from the platforms though along with helpful and interested staff (on my visits in any case). Oh and car park completely full at 11am.
