Yes we are having to keep it from public view in our public access workshop! very frustrating as our policy is to allow public access where at all possible. However work is continuing, the fitting of air brakes being the present task. The programme only concerned the body and basic underframe, but as most will realise their is a lot more to it than that.

I got the "skeleton" easily enough but it would not show details regarding episodes which were promised. At least I don't have to go through the Radio Times each Tuesday with no result anymore!

I'm looking forward to watching this, albeit with some trepidation. Leaving aside the inevitable "need" to dramatise things by introducing artificial deadlines, I do wonder how much compromise there was in the quality of the work undertaken. On the face of it carriage restoration does not lend itself to this type of programme as it is a long and expensive process!

Well, the one I have actually seen suggests no compromise in quality whatsoever in that particular case. I would agree with your "expensive" description though. It's worth it.

Well, IMHO the one who really has to live that dreadful programme down is R. Sawbridge and the third presenter, not much better than P. Snow. I have heard from people who have seen a review copy of one episode that it is okay. Not long to find out now.

I think that you will find it interesting despite the presenter.

Since that Ch4 webpage is utterly unusable on my Android, I'm just going to have to sit back and wait for the programme.

    Ho-hum!
