I looked on the ABC Circulation Website and saw Railway Magazine @ 37k and Steam Railway @ 29k, but could not find Heritage Railway - does it not participate in the ABC Circulation figures?

If it does they don't say anything about it in the mag.

They say that their readership is 52k but they are rather coy about it in their media pack.

Seems a bit high or would that be including the number in the 'WH Smiths Reading Room'?..

They aren't an ABC registered publication I understand, and it's always difficult to get data about them. Given that they are part of the same group as the Railway Magazine, which makes much of its claim to be the most widely read railway publication, we can safely assume that the Heritage Railway figures are less than 37k.

Readership includes all those who read a copy not just those who buy it, so it will be something over 1 per copy but I would have thought well short of 2. I doubt it includes the WHS reading room, but would include libraries if they still stock magazines.

ABC Figures relate to sales - though those do include discounted sales to hotels, airlines etc in the case of newspapers.

I get my subscription to Steam Railway for free as a perk of my Lloyds Bank account and my subscription to Railway Magazine for free by using a (very) few Tesco Clubcard vouchers. These will obviously help the sales figures.
