    The only way I think you could get over that problem would be to run a rail tour to a preserved railway with a turn table like the WSR.

    Could do but i dont think NR would be willing to let a non OTMR loco fitted out onto the national network in the first place.

    Aslong as its TWPS system still works and it gets a certificate to run on that and its gauged there isnt really any reason it couldnt do it.

    Yer problem is easily fixed.

    Get the Bluebell Railway to get 3217 mainline certified, then run and 3440 together. Both should be 60 mph machines.
