The 47 was giving it plenty through Settle, no doubt trying to make up some of the lost time...video to follow a bit later.

Interesting to note that there is now a clear run from Carlisle to Carnforth, no pathing stops.:)

Footage of 44932 passing Bamber Bridge, Horrocksford and Settle this morning, still putting a lot of effort in despite the assistance from the rear at times.

Thought I'd try a new (for me) location at Settle Junction with hoped-for back lighting but confounded by running 20 minutes late (possibly due to late running unit on the Leeds - Carlisle service.)

A sight to behold as 44932 forges its way past Blea Moor in magical winter conditions. We can now look forward to all the pictures and videos from our esteemed contributors.

44932 has taken 12 over the S&C unaided on four occasions, all of them were in both directions

Here we go again, unfortunately, a generator car is not every bit as good as it serves only one purpose, which is to provide power for the trains' services, so it is not really a viable alternative to a diesel which can provide motive power as well if required.
So what do you do, pander to the few who want pure steam and stick a genny on the back and in doing so lose at least 2 passenger carrying coaches and then have to put the prices up as RTC and WCR need to run profitably trips?
