Lord knows. Perhaps a time has come for whichever magazine it was that did a summary of all the new build projects several years ago to do an updated version: it'd be invaluable.

I suspected it was a Facebook project which maybe had a bit more substance than some, e.g. J50, I think they had a front buffer beam and not much else

They were never part of an agreed plan. A number of years ago a trustee told we how papers nominating locomotive classes were discussed and P2 then V4 decided on.

I think it will be very unlikely this decade given how much has been siphoned into Tornado’s overhaul. Maybe by 100th anniversary in 2034 if change in leadership.

There was a Claud Hamilton project web-site, but it is now a blank page. A facebook page remains, but its last entries were in 2019. The Nat Pres thread for the project has also dried up.

    https://www.facebook.com/p/Claud-Hamilton-Locomotive-Group-100063840257772/

    https://www.national-preservation.com/threads/new-build-claud-hamilton.30337/page-14

The project was reportedly based in Norfolk at the Whitwell & Reepham Rly, but their web-site seems to contain no mention of the Claud project.

Certainly looks as if the Claud project has become moribund, possibly abandoned. I suspect it will not be the only new-build project that is unable to progress further.

There's a lot of them about. Occasionally, a project gets a complete change of leadership and becomes reinvigorated - a good example being the Ivatt Diesel Recreation Society.

I think the group behind the Claud project were very enthusiastic but also very young. For a few years they certainly seemed to be putting in a lot of effort with collecting drawings etc but maybe the harsh realities of building a locomotive caught up with them

Tickets for the first public trains featuring Beachy Head are now on sale, 23 August - 1 September:

    https://www.bluebell-railway.com/beachy-head-2024/

As far as I can see, this is being run like a gala, i.e. all day rover tickets are available, but it isn't like (e.g. Flying Scotsman) with booked tickets on specific trains.

One typo could do with urgent correction: "emission" instead of "omission".

I think you're referring to the New Build Steam blog's feature New Build Nation: https://newbuildsteam.wordpress.com/2019/01/27/feature-new-build-nation/
Unfortunately the blog is no longer active, so any similar feature would have to be done by someone else.
