Hi Don just have a look at the possibility of bailing at Keighley on to the following local which passes the Dalesman at Kirkstall and arrives Leeds 2032.

I did the York Dalesman from Stevenage by changing at Leeds. Only went hoping for a Jubilee but got 46115 again. May risk one in June but hope not to get the 8F

Scots Guardsman seems to be in the frame for most things at present. No firm info though.

Fair bet for the Shap turns but conjecture in some quarters it was to get withdrawn at the end of May.

You won't get any advance info out of Carnforth as they then can't be got at on Nat Pres for putting out the wrong loco. I am happy to take my chances and hope it's a Jub.

Could be 45690 if the light test run was a success last week .

By Thursday the situation should be one degree of freedom clearer when we see what has been allocated to the sub-shed at 50A ( times for the Scarborough run now up).

PS ECS run over to York is timed at 50mph.

The 8F seemed to do a good job on the SSE last year and would presumably be limited to the Hellifield steam originating Dalesmans?

The 8F has done a few runs over Shap, but my prediction would be both of the Jubilee's will be the bread and butter for the both the Fellsman's and Dalesman's. BIL on a few turns for running in close to home - quite possible too I'd say.

Just leaving Carnforth, behind the late running transpennine , so on doubt we are going to be looped sooner than Penrith

Did I count a load of 13 behind the Scot including two pullmans? No holding back then over Shap and Ais Gill with a Class 7.
