i noticed you mentioned that goodrington station had both platforms in opperation, is this something that you will continue to do? also the torbay express used to use the loop so avoiding going through the station will it now run through the station? look forward to coming down again in a few weeks. Keep up the good work.

Goodrington now has both platforms in use for all trains. The Torbay will run through the down platform in both directions as a general rule.

Agreed. mirror-like finish, and whoever did the lining out must be a micro-surgeon in his spare time. Super!
me and my 3 year old really enjoyed our day (3 trips with 'Mavis' - he loved that. Got a good turn of speed up too!). Loved the troop train. good thought went into the supplies and gun on the wagons! Another coach or 2 may have helped the crowds.
great to ride the 'new' up line at Goodrington!
Bring on 2012. Olympic theme? tug-O-train? Pulling the manor along the length of Churston station? (I can hear the Health and safety paperwork being shuffled as I type!!)
One thing I did think of is if coinciding it with a steam tour (the 1st TE of the season maybe) would bring in more punters. if it could be fitted in with other movements?

I did really enjoy this weekend but weve alreadytold the DSR staff that we were also behind the scenes and saw many other interesting things like the Sherman heading off for Brixham not something you see every day.

I found it very interesting too and will upload my pics in due course

I heard from a mate that some nerdowells caused some trouble one night for the army folks camped near Churston? Hope it didn't spoil things too much for them/the organisers
