I visited yesterday, a very impressive event. There was plenty going on, regular changes of loco on the main demonstration line( future changes announced over the PA system), which also meant the line up in front of the shed changed. The Two Auto trains on the branchline changing on a regular basis. Different Loco's positioned next to the coal stage, and in front of the goods wagons to the side of the main shed. Thanks to all those who made it happen.A selection of my photo's can be found at http://paul-simpson.fotopic.net/c1844515.html

Was there on saturday with 6880, great event and wish I could return. However I think you've missed a trick by not selling some form of souvenir program. I had a few queries asking were our SSS2 programs for this event, as they hadn't seen anything elsewhere. Many lines tend to create one for events of this scale, and we certainly found them a nice source of income for SSS2. However that is the only thing I can fault, I had a very enjoyable day and hope the event is a success for you all.

Just to let you know although we did run out of beer today for a short time we have got some more today that is ready to drink for tomorrow and even more will arrive tomorrow, so far we have had 16 different beers. When you visit to take picutres or just watch the events do pop along to the bar. Hope you enjoy the different stock in use and freight trains.

I was at Didcot last Saturday for the first day of this event and I must say it was a quite brilliant event. It was fantastic to see so many copper capped chimneys everywhere you looked. Perhaps a special souvenir guide would have been a good idea but nonetheless a well organised event that will take some beating in GWR175 year. My photos of the event are now on my fotopic site.

I understand that a gentleman had a stroke and unfortunately hit is head as he collapsed. My girlfriend had a stroke and I know what the poor family and man is going through. I do not know what happened after he was airlifted off site. Thinking and praying for them all in what must be a terrible time. It is a shame that something so bad can happen at what otherwise was a fantastic event.

I was there Saturday and Sunday and it was a great showing for the GWR. City of Truro was beautiful and a it was great to see the Britania tour there on the saturday.

I attended Thursday night's photo charter at Didcot. I've got 300 photos to sort through (i.e. bin!). A superb evening, thanks to Sidmouth and Jason Cross with his football stadium floodlights! Photos up in a couple of days, but first here's a taster.

I'd like to echo that sentiment - a great evening.

More of a late evening/night photo-shoot as we were lucky to get on site when the sun was still high enough in the sky to take pictures, so we got two photo events for the price of one.

I'd like to add my thanks to Martin, Phil & Jason for organising a wonderful event and to the staff and members of Didcot for their efforts. It was a wonderful evening, even the sun came out for a cheeky early evening bonus shoot. One other thought - Truro looks awesome with the black frames :)

    Ditto to the above.
