Ignore Buseng as when it come to diesels on the back he always gets on his high horse.

At the end of the day, in this modern age, there is always a chance that there will be a diesel on the back for a multitude of possible reasons
If there is then I dare say also that for the vast majority of the railtour the kettle on the front will be doing the most of the work.

Am sorry to say like it or lump it.

A real "stellar" performance coming up this weekend for you, nearly six hours each way Kings Cross/York, possibly with diesel assistance.

Timings will be done with a sun dial!

Don't think it's been mentioned on here yet but the next DCE scheduled for 26th August has been cancelled.

The next trip on the 2nd September now has 34067/61306 listed on UKsteam info site with the Weymouth - Southampton leg TBA instead of Diesel hauled. Does this mean they are attempting to use two steam loco's on this trip?

Anyone know which loco is likely to be rostered for the 2nd September trip? Any more news on 34067?
Just been sent an e-mail for a discount on this trip and I am a little tempted with that hope that we might get steam into Weymouth this time.

Edit: Now booked on this so I expect it will all go t*ts up now!

So I guess 34067 is at the head of tomorrows trip as she is stated as the motive power on the ticket letter? Also the letter says the trip will be steam hauled throughout?

It's Tangers with a dead 47 riding shotgun. 34067 sounding better than I have heard it for a while, nice white exhaust.
