I went to Avoncliff for the outbound run - RSG sounded great echoing around the valley as she approached. Managed a decent video shot as well despite a well meaning passer by coming out with the inevitable "Is there a steam train coming ?" at the wrong moment. No other photographers around.

Ended up between Chilson and Ascott-under-Wychwood for the return. Some bizarre late running (around 10 mins down, despite apparently, passing Oxford on time with the power handle wide open) meant the sun was partially hiding by the time RSG turned up. Will have to check the shot on the PC, but from the LCD screen on the camera the lighting looks OK

Will post some shots up when I find some time in the evening this week.

Well done to all for turning out 55022 so nicely.

    STEVE
