    A Facebook link (no login needed) - it's not everyday that a Wickham photo-bombs a Deltic line-up!

Here's my offerings from the Friday. A fantastic day, with some brilliant soundtracks. The 12-coach train was quite something, I'd recommend turning up the volume...

    Enjoy!

The last train had a diesel on the back, which was obviously shoving. Disappointing!

    That can't be true.
I thought that the film was being run in reverse and the loco on the other end was shoving.:):)

I realise the comments above are no doubt in jest, but just for operational clarity, the longest train that can be run-round at East Grinstead is eight carriages, so anything longer has to be run top-and-tailed.

Down South again for weekend in London, so a day on Sunday on the Bluebell seamed somewhat appropriate! Thanks to all concerned, great day and some wonderful conversations whilst shuttling back and forth. Excellent food at the pub at Sheffield Park. Here's a handful of my efforts taken around the stations whilst changing trains. P1040834.JPG P1040838.JPG P1040849.JPG P1040851.JPG P1040853.JPG P1040855.JPG

I know I'm significantly "late to the party", but here is my video from the Saturday and Sunday. With thanks to the Bluebell Railway and the DPS for this great event, it was nice to have Deltics back at Sheffield Park! Running the Saturday night Beerex quite late was also, in my view, a very good idea, as it gave a good amount of time to get some night shots around Sheffield Park while also leaving the option to, as I did, return to East Grinstead. I have included a couple of these night shots below.

A nice set there. The final one with the winged thistle is my favourite. As a young trainspotter I was always thrilled to see and hear a green Deltic at full bore come racing through Arlesey and the head of the Flying Scotsman.
    Happy days.
