    Hi all,

the Railway Museum at Chemnitz-Hilbersdorf, Germany has cut its opening times dramatically. Until recently the museum was open daily except Monday. Now it will remain closed until Good Friday 2012 and then open on weekends and public holidays only. There are hints about staff redundancies and financial problems. The museum is currently devoid of any mainline certified locomotives or rolling stock which apparently provided the bulk of income in the past. See Sächsisches Eisenbahnmuseum Chemnitz-Hilbersdorf e. V., Sächsisches Eisenbahnmuseum stellt Betrieb vorerst ein - Freie Presse and Drehscheibe Online Foren :: 15 - Museumsbahn :: Schsisches Eisenbahnmuseum stellt Betrieb vorerst ein for more information and discussion in German.

    Kind regards

    Christoph
