I've uploaded my footage from the event yesterday to the website. Great event and the charter yesterday morning was by far one of the best!

This was mine & my brothers first visit to ELR, we were not disapointed! It was a great event, with plenty going on. It was also lovely to see Lord Nelson in great working order, as I've not seen him since he was based at Steamtown!

    Here are my photos

    Here is my video

Was a most excellent gala ! - Really enjoyed the photo shoot with Sapper . Just goes to show that you dont need a big engine to get great action.
I had to leave saturday about lunchtime but managed to get back on Sunday for another couple of hours.

    enjoy

Looks like whatever occurred resulted in the loco being withdrawn from its 10 March charter to Plymouth:-

I did like all the top and tailing, with the tail loco doing very little - not banking made for some hard working, especially by the standard tank.
They certainly like their mixed Rakes at the ELR,..

I presume it's the Ewood Bridge spot that peeps are referring too, as the public footpath only goes to the fence & the station is mentioned in the above guide.

ELR used to do an annual line side pass once you had passed a safety course, whether they still do or not who knows. They don't do event line side passes.

If they don't do passes anymore, then there were a few people that I saw on Saturday that were in very suspect spots (I'm not on about the people who were clearly working - I'm on about the hi-vis vest people).
