Perhaps 3855 prefers his locos to be driven sensibly and not thrashed to death. I assume you didn't contribute t0 52322's repair bill, after it's previous ELR mishap unlike 3855.

My heart sank when I saw your name as the last contributor. I assume you always pay full-price for a rover ticket. I earn about £150 a week. I'm not a privileged tosser like you who can afford to indulge my hobby with generous gifts of cash. I would if I could. Mind your own business.

Time to get off your high horse and learn English.3855 paid for 52322's repair not you or I.It is not unreasonable for him to prefer the locos that he owns, maintains and pays for are not thrashed. If you don't like that tough.

This forum can be summed up very easily. Keep your mouth shut unless you're a millionaire loco owner. What did my innocent comment have to do with you? Nothing! D7076 rushes in to save the day again. You wouldn't be nearly so courageous in real life and English isn't my first language. I can carry this conversation on in Welsh if you prefer.

Had a great day today, really enjoyed the timetable and variety. Great to see and ride behind Gothenburg, looked lovely in black. Shame that the doors behind the 'cab' of the auto coach were closed, so you couldn't see out the front/the driver, but presume as crew not overly used to auto coaches that this would make them more comfortable. Video and pictures to follow tomorrow...

I totally agree with 3855, it's a gala weekend with an already intensive timetable, so the locos will be naturally working quite hard. Why completely flog them and create unnecessary maintenance work for the owners/groups from thrashing them? After all they maintain these engines for us all to enjoy.

Goodness me. I just noticed that the engines seemed to be pussy footing around today and they don't normally. Sorry for having an opinion. I'm off to donate £1000 to 52322's maintenance costs for the luxury of being able to make that comment. Hang on. I don't have £1000! Sorry. Great gala. Nothing to complain about whatsoever. Happy?

Thanks for the comments. I'm pleased you enjoyed the event and timetable. One thing to note is the train lengths were shorter (2 x 5's and a 6 car set) this was due to having the smaller engines and wanting them to have runs on their own. So that's possibly why the bigger ones won't have been making as much noise. Hoping today goes as well!!!

Thanks. Nice to have a sensible comment instead of aggression.

    My footage.

Superb timetabling and locos this year. The double header of 75008 and 32 didn't materialise this afternoon, but bloody 'ell, 75008 doesn't set off, it erupts! If renaming is ever on the cards, one suggestion could be 'Wells Jr.'

    Cheers

A most enjoyable two days. Timekeeping was better on Saturday than Sunday but when a problem occurs at the start of the day, it is very difficult to catch up although the last train of the day seemed about right. The Rawtenstall Corporation buses from Burrs were very welcome even though one departed from Bolton Street two minutes early after we had rushed up the steps to try and board it.

Got a couple of nice second-hand Bachmann model wagons I had been looking for, from the place under the station at the north end of the up platform. I think it was in support of a Black 5 Fund. Can anybody tell me exactly which organisation runs that stand? I like to keep a record. I am not talking about the 80097 Sales Coach at the other end of the platform!

Were you the guy with the monopod? I must have been right next to you for the standard piloting Wells. There was a man in an orange jacket doing some strange things on the embankment.

Not the guy with the monopod, had a tripod and my wife with me taking stills. It was an interesting route the 'gent' in the orange vest was taking...
