    The final line up for this years Autumn Diesel Gala is as follows:

    Class 47 47635 'Jimmy Milne'

    Class 37 37029

    Class 33 33202 'Dennis G Robinson'

    Class 14 D9539 - courtesy of Ribble Steam Railway

    Class 08 08836 - courtesy of First Group Old Oak Common - to be confirmed but I am 90% sure 08836 will be unveiled in the new First Group Great Western Green livery as being applied to its coaches and 57's.

    Unfortunately 31438 will be unable to participate due to issues with its bogies which cant be resolved in time.

    However with an intensive 3 train service - Class 08 08836 hauling our Thumper, and 2 loco hauled sets - theres lots of variety of workings and each loco will be given its fair share of work so something for everyone.

    The timetable has been written and is being checked and I hope to have it published this week.

    Late running trains will once again operate on Saturday evening selling beer and snacks.

    We will also be running our popular non stop trains between Ongar and Epping Forest running non stop through North Weald.

    As is tradition we will also be supporting our local breweries and stocking a selection of locally brewed draught real ale.

    This year we are delighted to have real ales from Sawbridgeworth Brewery and Bishop Nick Brewery in Braintree as well as cider from London Glider.

    Draught Beers

    Sawbridgeworth Brewery:

    "is it yourself" Bitter 4.2% ABV

    Bishop Nick Brewery:

    Martyr IPA Limited no4 Edition 5% ABV
    Embers Limited no5 Edition 3.8% ABV

    Plus a whole selection of other bottled beers and ciders which will be available from our on train bar the Flag and Whistle.

    Heritage Buses;

    In addition to our normal services from Epping LU and BR Shenfield we will operate extra services for the Gala weekend.

    Tickets are now on sale on line and if you buy on line then you can buy your Gala ticket for the equivalent of our normal fare with no Gala uplift. Also don't forget your Heritage bus travel from Epping and Shenfield is all included in the price of your ticket.

    The Network Southeast Society will be attending with their sales stand as will the Class 45132 Group and Chelmsford MRC selling all things model railway.

    Peak Class 45 45132 will not sadly be ready for the Gala but the 45132 Group would like to meet you and will be giving cab tours for a small donation.

    Cab rides;

    As in normal now we will be offering cab rides for a Fiver on all services during the Diesel Gala. For a Fiver you can have a one way journey between Ongar and North Weald or North Weald and Epping Forest.

    They are hugely popular so make sure you get to the front first. On the day just go to the cab and ask one of our drivers about a cab ride.
