    Part One of two videos covering four days of the Bob Branch organised charters on the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways. This video includes scenes from the Ffestiniog Railway filmed on Monday and Tuesday, 2nd. & 3rd. November. Thanks to Bob Branch and all involved at the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways for a wonderful event.

    I must have done these events for 10 years now and I cannot recommend enough, apart from the photography there is great Food and drink and "crac" and usually great slide shows every evening around Porthmadog given by the participants.

    What else, very nice selection at Spooners Bar. I think this charter has now become a bit of a social event like the West Highland, despite no charter there this year many of the faithful still went for the last week of the Jacobite

    Yes, The Purple Moose has the Brewery, a dedicated shop in Porthmadog and a sort of Brewery tap, The Australia Pub in the High Street.
    Can I forget Cob records, an independant record shop, a dying breed in the UK, purveyors of vinyl,cd,dvd etc. What a place to spend a wet morning in the town!!
