Noticeable from the various videos that at every crossing they slowed to walking speed before opening the regulator at the crossing, therefore much better pics/videos from 100yds further on....

There were 4 people trespassing at Irwell Vale yesterday, south end of the station. Selfish as well as stupid.

I know that there is a 10 mph speed restriction just before Townsend Fold crossing. This is due to the erosion of the bank of the river Irwell during the recent floods.

Braking syestems or other wise there is another loco involved most of the time she isnt doing much work. Well done to all concerned for not getting carried away, there is little doubt in my mind that FS is being run in very carefully and gently despite being in the public eye.

Great to see Scotsman back and the good press she's getting. Its been nearly 16 years since I last saw her in steam and will never forget that day. Hopefully she'll create more memories for me and I can get my first ride behind her.

so - Its been a great weekend - pity about the late runnings which were not as bad as Saturday ,but it hasnt spoilt the atmosphere and considering the numbers travelling, the ELR deserve a pat on the back

As for the nameplates, maybe the NRM are waiting for the official unveiling. Anthony will have them stored under his bed:Morewaitingisrequired:

Simples Victor, I thoroughly enjoyed living in Lancashire. I have family there so thankfully still return on a regular basis.

    Cheers,

    Nice Phots and footage.

Shame about that drone being decked out in an incorrect livery, I really don't know who these owners think that they are painting their drones in any old livery that takes their fancy!!

    Cheers,

    Alan
