Fotopic community

I recently started up my Fotopic site last week, after months of considering it. Still in it's early stages yet but should be official up & running soon.

All of my collections will be of Steam Galas, with the odd narrow gauge & mainline steam collection too.

 

Some stuff from a week in Germany, including 2 days on the very snowy Harz system.

Hello Steamhawk yes I liked your pics especially of 1369 she's a fine engine and I havn't seen that many pics of her unfortunately as most people seemed more interested in the stars of the show.

Yes I was quite lucky that I managed to get there for six days over both weekends so got loads of pics, only trouble is I've nearly filled up my site now.

I have just added a twelve photo collection of the "New Construction" Peppercorn development Pacific Class A1 4-6-0 60163 TORNADO as she hauled the "Severn Coast Express" made up of ten coaches, plus her support coach and a Type 67 diesel 67002 on the rear, into Bishops Lydeard on the West Somerset Railway, on the early evening of Saturday 30th.May.2009. Here she stopped off to take on water before continuing on to Minehead and to start her two week "Guest" apperance on the WSR.

The sound of TORNADO as she pulled the train away from Bishops Lydeard, I can only describe as "awesome".
WSR are really onto a crowd pulling apperance of this locomotive, and good luck to them.:smt023 I shall be revisiting during the next two weeks, thats for sure.
