We will, we have three banking turns - and as will only be going at warp factor one we should be ok. A rare steaming for Dubs - one of only three this year as we press on with her Shelton sister Hawarden.

 

Repainting of the Beyer is now well in hand, it should be "back in black" in time to double head with Vulcan. Vulcan looks at home in the shed, indeed it feels as though its been around the site for years !.

Do we know the current situation with the timetable being possibly available before the event?

As my Dad and I plan to go to Crewe Gresty Bridge open day in the morning and arrive at the colliery at around 12 for the afternoon.

Timetable will be available on the gate but if you get there by around 12.30 you will still have time to see everything on the bank at least once.

 

Which timetable have you been reading Dave? Dubs have 4 rostered banking turns!

 

Indeed - but guests who go to Crewe will still find the visit worthwhile and will see everything at least once if they turn up at noon. I dont think the question was dubs specific although being a rare beast she does have a fan club !.

Looks like I'll be attending now. Planning to include the Duchess at Butterley but not sure in which order. To help planning can anyone tell me what time the first train out of the pit is please?

 

First freight 0950, then every 45 mins (ish) until 1725.
