    for those who are disappointed, let me say that it is very rare not to be able to pay cash on the day of most tours, not least because there are always last minute withdrawals, illness, delays etc.

    So if it's not too late for you guys who want to go to Devon with the King, just turn up at Temple Meads and ask a steward.

    Last year, I contacted a tour operator regarding a tour that had been sold out for months and was told TURN UP AND PAY THE TRAIN MANAGER!

    If you don't ask, you won't get!
